COMPARISON BETWEEN SINGLE PARTICLE ENERGY STATES OF ˄-HYPERNUCLEUS AND Ʃ - -HYPERNUCLEUS WITH WOODS-SAXON POTENTIAL
Abstract
- In this research, ˄ and Ʃ - single particle energy states are compared to study the role of ˄and Ʃ hyperons in nuclear medium. Energy states are calculated by solving one body Schrödinger equation with Woods-Saxon central potential including central part and spin-orbit coupling. Coulomb potential is taken into account for the calculation of Ʃ - particle energy states. Wave function expanded into Gaussian basis is used in our calculation. Root-mean-square distance for various orbital angular momentum states are also calculated. The characteristic of ˄ and Ʃ - single particle energy states in light and heavy nuclei are discussed.
